Snowman and Tessol

Indian innovator Thermal Energy Service Solutions Private Limited (Tessol) is teaming up with Snowman to pilot its Ultracool 1400 plug-and-chill solution in a range of climatic conditions. Using frozen cartridges of phase change materials inserted in vehicle-mounted insulated containers, the pilot aims to maintain temperature control without the need for active refrigeration during intercity and last mile deliveries. This would provide an alternative to conventional diesel-based cooling systems in frozen reefer trucks, thereby reducing costs, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.
