Colombian pharmaceutical company Procaps is partnering with Colombian innovator OT Services to field test solar air-conditioning and bipolar ionization technology at its plants. The pilot aims to reduce energy consumption by up to 97% during sunlit hours, and up to 60% during cloudy conditions and at night, with a payback period of less than two years. The bipolar ionization technology also improves air filtration and quality, a key concern during the COVID-19 era.
