Temperate Technologies Private Limited

Innovator

Temperate Technologies provides sustainable post‑harvest cooling solutions that consume up to 80% less energy than traditional refrigeration‑based systems. These solutions offer both lower upfront costs and lower operating costs. The solutions support the pre‑cooling, storage, and transport of fruits and vegetables, as well as the transport of day‑old chicks.

Solutions

ColdEasy Box
The ColdEasy Box is a water‑based, electricity‑free cooling solution designed to preserve perishable goods. It uses Structurally Enhanced Evaporative Cooling (SEEC) technology to reduce temperature and maintain high humidity without requiring an external power source. The unit is made from durable, food‑grade High‑Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) materials, providing a five‑year body lifespan and enabling sustainable, low‑cost storage.

Focus Area: Passive Cooling, Refrigeration & Storage, Sustainable Cooling
Modular direct evaporative cooler for transportion of fruits and vegetables in trucks
This solution is a modular direct evaporative cooling system designed for use in trucks. The system uses the air pressure created by the truck’s forward motion to generate evaporative cooling inside the cargo area. The core system includes only one active component—a water pump, which keeps the evaporative cooling pads wet, resulting in a low‑power and low‑maintenance solution.

There are two optional add-ons:
i. Fans inside the cargo area to improve air circulation
ii. Fans at the rear of the truck to assist with exhausting humid air

Low-power and low-cost cooling for fruits and vegetables
This solution provides energy‑efficient cold storage based on proprietary dew‑point cooling technology.
The system uses indirect evaporation to cool a liquid coolant to near the dew‑point temperature of the surrounding air (and below the wet‑bulb temperature) using a single‑stage cooling device. The cooled liquid circulates through fan coil units to directly cool the storage space.

Compared to traditional cold storage systems, this solution achieves up to five times lower energy consumption when cooling to temperatures between 15–25°C, offering a cost‑effective and sustainable alternative.
