Coeo Labs' Saans-Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is a low-cost, easy to use, neonatal breathing support device, with multiple powering options. The solution maintains respiration and oxygenation in neonates with breathing difficulties by providing positive ventilation or CPAP to keep the lungs open both during transport and in hospital settings. In this pilot, Hallelujah General Hospital in Ethiopia will deploy Saans CPAP devices in their neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and ambulance for transport to improve quality of care for newborns with respiratory distress.
